From RHW to VB, These Are the Celebrity Winter Outfits We'll Be Copying

From Sarah Jessica Parker and Bella Hadid to Priyanka Chopra and Julia Roberts, the celeb crowd have been knocking it out of the park over the past few weeks with their enviable winter outfit formulas. Whether it’s rushing to an event or simply coming home from the school run, there’s plenty to be inspired by—whatever sartorial dilemma you’re facing this week.

Priyanka Chopra gives us a lesson in polished dressing with a midi skirt–and–polo-neck pairing. We love the contrast between the classic beige of the coat and the vibrant red hue of her skirt and boots. Julia Roberts, meanwhile, steps out in an on-trend checked coat and a pair of super-cool wide leg trousers. So many good outfits, so little time. Style Notes: This simple, elegant winter look from RHW has been inspiring us all week—so much so that we’re basically copying it head-to-toe, only with product from & Other Stories!

3/34

Style Notes: Enjoying Angela’s combo of a dusky-blue coat with shiny croc boots. Good news, her Topshop Hattie Boots are still available.

4/34

Style Notes: Being all kinds of Gucci-tastic, Tracee Ellis Ross combines streetwear with smart tailoring to great effect.

5/34

Style Notes: It’s the DoC look we keep coming back to. There’s something really timeless about a tartan skirt with black knitwear and boots.

6/34

Style Notes: Anyone else really digging the boho vibes of Katie Holmes’s cardigan? It could look wacky, but with a plain outfit I think it works.

7/34

Style Notes: Now that’s one heck of a chic combination. Swap sandals to boots IRL and you too could look as sophisticated as Natalie Portman.

8/34

Style Notes: Proving that comfort and warmth don’t have to be at the expense of looking stylish, Emily Ratajkowski’s ensemble will be the perfect weekend mooching look all winter long.

9/34

Style Notes: Hello, bold winter coat! No faster way to say “I’m here” than a bright piece of outerwear, like Julia Roberts and her beautiful Valentino number.

10/34

Style Notes: Proving her winter colour palette goes way beyond black and grey, Victoria looks impossibly stylish in her short camel coat and denim turn-up trousers. Pulling it all together with flashes of burgundy via her roll neck jumper, bag and boots, this is a master at work.

11/34

Style Notes: Here’s a hot tip direct from Suki Waterhouse, on what to wear on a night out when its cold. Choose a cosy, statement coat (hers has both brocade velvet fabric and statement animal-print cuffs and collar), longer-length trousers like satin culottes that you can just about dare to wear with bare ankles and court shoes. Clever.

12/34

Style Notes: If anyone knows how to beat the chill in style, it’s Holly Willoughby. Not how she effortlessly matches the berry colour of her Ted Baker coat to that of her beanie. Inspired.

13/34

Style Notes: If you’re looking for a fresh colour combo to try this season, take your cue from Priyanka Chopra, who shows that bright red and classic beige are a match made in heaven. This outfit is perfect if you’re looking for something polished yet warm to wear for a smart casual occasion.

14/34

Style Notes: Photographed about a month ago, Alexa was already getting into the winter zone with cashmere and hosiery. We’re enjoying the party bottom half an serious upper half here—a note worth taking whether you feel like braving it in leather shorts or not.

15/34

Style Notes: Of course, Sienna looks this chic on the school run. We’ll be trying out this casual look at the weekend when we’re bored with our jeans. It’s all about wide-leg trousers, sneakers and a colour contrast knit. We could also imagine wearing this outfit with heeled boots for a smarter finish.

16/34

Style Notes: Winter is the time to play with textures and model Grace Bol has ticked so many off with this seemingly simple ensemble: velvet, ribbed knitwear and patent. Nice.

17/34

Style Notes: Sarah Jessica Parker ticks all the boxes with this pulled-together ensemble. The green hue of her midi dress offers a fun twist on classic leopard print (ideal for a work Christmas party) whilst her pink-and-blue checked coat creates a satisfying colour contrast.

18/34

Style Notes: Whilst not the most practical of all our celeb outfits, we’re enjoying the ’80s-inspired aesthetic of Bella’s jumper dress–and–Celine boots look. The gold accessories and statement shoes are a great example of how to dress up a polo-neck knit, except we would probably style ours with jeans or a slip skirt rather than go bare-legged.

19/34

Style Notes: Proving monochrome doesn’t mean boring, Léa looks chic in her check double-breasted coat (one of the cosiest cover-up styles going), cream roll-neck and knee-high boots.

20/34

Style Notes: Slowly but surely fleeces are becoming the unexpected top trend of autumn/winter 2018. Gigi Hadid shows us how it’s done by pairing her Tod’s jacket with a Wolford white roll-neck, Monse kick flares and Giuseppe Zanotti leopard-print boots.

21/34

Style Notes: Always a step ahead of the trends, Fearne looks achingly cool in her zebra-print midi. Like her, wear your skirts with opaques underneath and finish with a toasty leather biker.

22/34

Style Notes: This outfit is simply snake-print joy. Victoria Secret model Cheyenne Maya-Carty totally pulls it off by styling her look with a simple white tee and then adding a satisfying colour-clashing pair of red boots.

23/34

Style Notes: Sometimes it’s just about having confidence to throw on a winter coat over your favourite summer pieces. Cue Dree Hemingway for further inspiration.

24/34

Style Notes: All hail the puffa jacket, the world’s cosiest coat trend. Kendall Jenner offers a polished spin on the sporty look with straight-leg jeans and mock-croc heeled boots.

25/34

Style Notes: Is Kate Bosworth shooting her annual Christmas card pic? Regardless, we didn’t know we needed a knitted cape until we saw one on her. We’ll also take those sequinned trousers while we’re at it.

26/34

Style Notes: We can always trust Julia to bring the elegance up wherever she goes, and this checked coat–and–wide-leg trouser combination is no exception.

27/34

Style Notes: If you’re not much of a dress person, take note of Lupita Nyong’o’s party-ready Ralph Lauren white jumpsuit, which is smart, chic and unbelievably flattering. Festive work ‘do, here we come.

28/34

Style Notes: Model Behati Prinsloo was snapped in the perfect high-low outfit: leather trousers, snake-print boots, a band tee and a statement shearling coat. We’ll be copying this look for drinks out with friends this weekend.

29/34

Style Notes: Delilah Belle Hamlin’s tonal grey outfit is the perfect outfit for the office during the autumn/winter season.

30/34

Style Notes: Marion Cotillard keeps her winter wardrobe classic, wearing a camel coat over her black slip skirt and jumper.

31/34

Style Notes: Sometimes nothing beats a trench coat with a Breton jumper. Emma Stone’s shiny Mary Jane pumps have us thinking it’s not quite time for boots yet…

32/34

Style Notes: Emma Roberts is the embodiment of how we want to look this season with her checked two-piece from Kitri and retro accessories. Note how the trousers are just the right amount of tailored to offer a counterbalance to the loose fit of the jacket.

33/34

Style Notes: Belted coats are essential for keeping the heat in. Wear yours with a button-up blouse, just like model Adwoa.

34/34

Style Notes: Julianne Moore is sophistication personified, as her pussybow dress can attest. The tie-neck detail acts much like a roll-neck when it comes protecting herself from pesky draughts, while her opaques and ankle boots are sure to keep the heat in, too.
