I Always Get So Many Complements On This High Street Top
I'm not the sort of person whose clothing choices usually elicit commentary (you could call me an extroverted minimalist), but for some reason, one recent purchase drew so many complements and enquiries that I feel compelled to share it with you.
Unexpectedly, it wasn't a statement coat, dreamy dress or chic pair of shoes that caused such a stir, instead it was a humble long-sleeved top from high street store COS. Coming in a dramatic abstract print (my husband said I "looked like a painting"—I'll take that) and tight, high-neck fit, it's not the sort of item of clothing I would usually go for, but I've worked out that it's the perfect top to wear with roomy, wide leg trousers or full skirts. I've even seen people on Instagram layering it under shirts and dresses. All-in-all, it's a bit of a multi-tasking wonder.
